Pipley ("we," "us") is a routine and coaching app. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. It's written to be actually readable — if anything's unclear, contact us at vaseanunknown@gmail.com.

What we collect

Account: Pipley signs you in anonymously by default — we don't require an email or name. Your account is a random ID tied to your device/browser. If you choose to save your account, you can add an email address so you can sign back in on another device; we store that email with our authentication provider (Supabase) and use it only to send you sign-in codes and links.

Routines and progress: the routines, steps, cues, and goals you create, and which steps you mark done and when.

What you tell the AI: messages you send to the coach or the routine builder, and short factual notes the AI saves about you (goals, patterns, struggles you mention) so it doesn't make you repeat yourself. You can ask us to delete this at any time.

"Get me unstuck" sessions: what you said you were avoiding, how many steps you completed, and how long it took you to start — used to improve the product and, in aggregate, to understand whether it's actually working.

Payment info: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We keep a record that you're subscribed and which plan.

Push notifications: if you turn on reminders, we store a device subscription token so we can send them. You can turn this off any time.

Basic technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type) kept briefly for security and debugging.

Usage counts: to prevent abuse and keep AI costs under control, we record how often each account uses the AI features (account ID, which feature, and a timestamp). These rows are deleted after a couple of days.

Anonymous usage events: we record simple actions (opened the app, finished onboarding, ticked a first step, saw the paywall, started checkout, how you arrived, and whether you use an in-app browser) tied to your anonymous account ID, to see where people drop off. On your first visit we also record basic device details (browser user agent, screen size, touch support, language, whether the browser is automated, and the site that linked you) so we can tell real visitors from bots and link previews. We don't use them for ads. They're deleted with your account.

Referral and partner links: if you arrive through a friend's or a Pipley partner's (affiliate's) link (?ref=), we record which link brought your anonymous account, so the discount applies and the partner can be paid a share of what you pay. Partners only see counts and amounts (visits, sign-ups, payments and their commission), never who you are. To stop affiliate fraud we also keep a salted one-way hash of the network address a partner link was opened from (never the address itself), and Stripe's card fingerprint and risk rating for payments made through a partner link (never your card number). Partners who sign up give us their name, email, PayPal email, handle and a short note about their audience, used only to run the program and pay them.

Feedback: if you send feedback from Profile, we store your message (and the email, only if you add one) with your account ID.

Aggregate visit analytics: we use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits, which page was viewed, and where visitors came from (for example a link tagged ?src=tiktok). It's used to understand which channels reach people, not to build profiles or follow you across other sites.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't run ads or ad-tracking. We don't share your routines, messages, or "unstuck" sessions with anyone except the service providers below, and only as needed to run the app.

Who processes your data

Your choices

You can delete your account and all associated data yourself from Profile → Delete my account (it cancels any subscription first), or by emailing vaseanunknown@gmail.com. You can cancel your subscription anytime from Profile → Manage subscription. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep access until the end of the free trial or billing period you've already paid for. You can turn off reminders anytime from Profile.

Children

Pipley is for people 18 and older, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has used it, email us and we'll delete their data.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and, for material changes, try to notify active users in-app.
